Façade
Sweetness is so fragile
In terms of views and perceptions.
Attempts to amplify so futile
And so obvious despite repeated deceptions.
The façade, the mask,
The desperate attempts to fulfill the task
Why in vain
Do we put ourselves through so much pain,
While at the core of our soul we remain
Shackled in our own consciousness’s chain!
We defy.
In the least, we try.
We claim to have changed,
While to our soul we remain tamed.
Should we find out in certainty
That consciousness survives with refined purity,
How could we justify the mask
And implicitly invite our dusk!
