Of love and dreams

A laugh lasts but for a short while,

Memories fading away as fast

as it lasts

You don’t laugh, you smile.

A dream when asleep

fades away when awake

Dreams while conscious who is to break?

Thus my dreams I keep.

And I weep.

Try to climb the mountain this steep.

With a smile you take it all.

So only the smiles I can recall,

And all the love of love and pain

Grants me the twinkle in my eyes;

So I sustain.
