Searing Pain,

Thirst

While drinking,

I remain thinking…

Which came first!

Which will remain

Beyond reason

I commit treason

Mud my soul

With no one to console.

With the thirst quenched

Should I thirst again

To be able to feel

The pleasure

Of quenching the thirst?

Which comes first?
